I have PTSD, could massage help me?

Yes. Those with PTSD or anyone coping with trauma experience can experience a variety of benefits from Massage Therapy. Simply put, when PTSD exists in the body, there are often high levels of Cortisol. Massage can activate the “feel-good” hormone serotonin which invites the body and brain to relax. Many studies show the correlation between reduced cortisol and increased serotonin and dopamine levels with massage therapy:

I feel unsafe in my body and am disconnected, how do you handle that?

All Massage Therapy sessions are taken at your pace. Establishing safety is paramount and we will do so slowly. My role can act as a mediator between you and your body with invitation to listen to one another and gently making space for ways of connection when ready.

What if I’m Trans?

The journey with your body and our culture more likely than not has been a difficult one. I offer safety, empowerment and body autonomy during our session so that you can hear and listen to the voice of your body.
