Body Rituals

“Most of the important ceremonies in our human cycles have to do with transitions getting from one level to another. During transitions we are vulnerable and in danger. Like the creature who has outgrown an old skin and can wear it no longer, we shed what is no longer fitting. But thus exposed, we are in the state of crisis, we feel soft and unprotected and unsure of a future “skin” that is still unknown to us.” Gertrud Mueller Nelson

In creating a Ritual you will be invited into the making of the time as much or as little as you’d prefer. Depending on your theme, you are welcome to invite those who feel important to bear witness to your ritual to help you marker and retain the time. Rituals are creative with the focus on engaging the body through your senses to activate multiple avenues of body and muscle memory. While touch is certainly part of the session, a full body massage is not typically something to expect. There will be most likely be movement and a variety of ways to engage the transition you are hoping to marker.
